On my 1995 Johnson 112 SPL's trim and such, there's what looks like grease fittings. Are these points supposed be greased and if so, with what type of grease? My Clymer manual is not very specific on this topic.

Thanks,

John

Yes,Your factory motor manual should touch on lube points.Triple guard grease is recommended.Any good white lithium grease will suffice as well.Upper and lower swivel bracket and tilt bushings. You should also keep a small amount on the throttle linkage points and exposed steering linkages.

Let me suggest that you get the OMC manual. It's very specific on lubrication points and the type of lubricant as well as other procedures for your motor. It's money well spent in the long run.
