Hello Everyone!
I am new here and found this site via Google.
Excuse my english ... long time ago
A little bit about my boating history:
I started boating in 1998 with a new "Wellcraft Excel 23SE".
In 1999 we changed to a new Bayliner 2855.
In 2000 we changed to a new Bayliner Ciera 3055.
In 2008 we changed to a new Bavaria 37sport. (actual).
All the years we have done the maintenance by ourself (take of drives, total maintenance, winterization,...). So we know our Mercruiiser engines and drives very well.
The new engines, Volvo Penta 5.7GXi DPS-A (built 2008) are a little bit different to maintain compared to the old styled mercruiser carburator ones.
We wanted to lubricate the gimbal bearings and the U-Joints, but didn't find any references in the manual or in the internet. There are no graese nipples on the transome plate nor inside the boat.
Before starting to disassemble the drive and to guess that the gimbal bearing and U-joint are maintenance free, I would like to ask someone in the forum who can help me?
Is there any *.pdf file to download (or similar) with an exploded assembly drawing for drives and engines?
Thanks for reply!
Regards from Austria!
