lucas oil in gear housing?

Has anybody ever tried this before it says in the bottle you can use it in lower units and being as thick as it is I figure it might be good.

They'd probably tell you it's good on your salad too if they could legally make the sale.

And to add humor to that,
I've got a million miles on my "slick 50" PTFE filled ratty old courier pickup (actually third engine cause it kept plugging the filter) but still can't get a date.

Lucas, as I understand it does make some good products, but I personally have not found a need to add it to anything!
