Luhrs 28 ft

Hi to all users,

I'm a 27 year old student living in Holland but i'm from Aruba.
My father and I just bought a 28 ft luhrs flybridge and are ready to restore it.
Now I'm buying all the parts needed for the engine and generator.
When the engine, generator and the electrical are in good working order we will do all the cosmetics.
I will be posting pictures of the progress we make.

Welcome to the iboats.com forum! The members here are great and the experts, which I am not, can help you with any questions about your boat, engines, trailer, etc. Lots of Luhrs lovers here and what's not to love. They were well built and are pleasing to look at. Good luck with your project and keep us posted on your progress!

Hello Willyclay,

Thanks for looking ad my thread.
This boat has a twin volvo penta AQ 145 engine and a 280 outdrive unit.
Is this engine and the outdrive reliable??
I know they were build from 1979 to 1985 but i don't have any experience on these.
The old owner told us that they were fully refurbish but that we will see when they start.
If there is any user who has any experience please let me know.
