Hi I am new to this forum. I am in the process of restoring a 1984 lund tyee 5.3. I am in process of taking consoles off and there is a thin piece of sheet metal that gives a lil support that runs from gunnel out and top of dash rests n screws into it. I saw a thread from 2017 by a "budski" that restored the exact boat and his pics didn't show that piece of sheet metal. It has rivets that a person could grind off to make re-install much easier. Wondering if he took that off or if anyone else has done that? Thank u.
