I am looking 2 lund 16 's tillers your basic boat nothing fancy. My question is this one is a 1967 and the other 1975 is there a differance in the two? Did lund use better , stronger materials? through out the years? Both boats are the same price just thought I would ask the profesionals thank you

Re: lund ?

Shouldn't be much difference between the two, as most aluminum boats are still made the same way they were 40+ years ago.

I'd go with whichever one has less dents, or leaks less water. Lund makes great hulls and you probably won't go wrong either way. If the one you get ends up having a leaky rivet or two then look into using Gluvit on the interior to seal the seams and rivets and prevent leaking.

Good luck to ya!

My Lund is a '72, it has never leaked a drop and I don't think it has ever been repaired.

It's not the age that matters, but how it was treated......

Lund also made fiberglass boats, Or more accurately Lund put there name on other builders boats. Money is a 73 Lund built by Shell Lake Boat Company of Shell Lake, Wisconsin.

and one more question what is a better trailer for a aluminum boat the roller style or a bunk with rollers down the center of the boat.

or doesn't really matter as long as it rides well on the trailer
