Sooooo....been thinking about a way to grind and chop my chum to feed those big ol' grouper holding over some of the reefs I have been fishin lately. Back in the 80's I had a meat grinder attached to a piece of teak and with some bungees it would sit up over the stern and discharge fish heads, guts, etc and create a nice slick that would get the fish moving. Now I am reading up on macerators and wonderin if something like that could be adapted to accomplish the same.
Anyone try such a thing and is it possible or are the blades not made to handle fish bones, heads, etc..
The prices here at iboats seem reasonable. Just thinking....any ideas?? :)

Re: Macerator

I imagine one could use parts from a garbage disposal, the only problem would be powering it. Maybe a small gas powered chipper. :)

Couple a starter motor to a garbage disposal.

Google Chum Churn Cost about $150.00 might be just what you need.
