I in herated my grandfathers tools when i bought the house and shop ive been trying to find what a lathe is worth cant find one on ebay or the antque machine boards it has a 12' bed i also have some end mills if iwas to put on ebay how does that work on shipping were talking about some real big machines here?any ideals on what to do??

Large items such as those are best to offer on ebay as "pickup only"....SHipping would be outrageous...<br /><br />You could also have an auction to sell these items,an auction house will do everything,including listing items in the paper,advertising, and everything included in getting it sold...Sure they take a good percentage for their work, but some money is better then no money.

I'd put it on ebay with a high reserve just to see what you can get, if you get lots of bids and someone is close, you can give a 2nd chance offer, or if there is no interest at all, like heyttown said, go with the auction house.<br /><br />ANYTHING can be shipped if someone wants it bad enough. <br /><br />You could call united van lines, tell them what you have and they would take care of the rest, and send enough people to do it. It'll cost, but they have the resources and do it every day.
