So the world slams the door on Alberta beef.
Thats means big trouble for the people around
here. Ranchers holding millions of dollars
worth of beef will have to destroy their herds.

Oh my God!!!!!!!! Canada is gonna be on WHO quaratine forever! That one case of Mad Cow will inevitably convince the WHO authority that most of Canada especially Toronto, (even though there are no cattle in Toronto) has the disease and everyone will again be wearing surgical masks. What about it Earnie Eaves ?

From Orlando, but residing in Toronto until August, been here since December. Yes I went to the free Jays game.

Mad cow disease, or BSE (bovine spongiform encephalo-pathy)
is a fatal disease that eats away the brain in
cattle, and was first reported in Britian in 1986

Scientists suspect BSE contaminated beef,
particularly central nervous system tissues,
used as food may cause a form of Creutzfeldt-jakob
disease (CJD) in humans, calling the BSE-triggered
disease variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or vCJDA
About 100 people have died from the disease.

Symptoms are considerable pain in the legs and
arms. Dementia, personality change and movement
problems quickly appear, followed by coma and death.

Uh-oh! I've got the first four symptoms already, but thought it just because I was getting old. Shouldn't have eaten all those T-bones. Maybe just the thought of an enormous Hilary rump roast will keep me away in the future.
