Made It Back

Hey folks....made it back from Charlston in one piece. We ducked outta tha' simulator early. We wuz done with what we had to do anyway. Good to be back home. Always is after a trip. <br /><br />Got some good "stick" time in at the simulator. What the place is, is a mock up of a power plant control room, specifically Amos Plant which is a 1300MW unit. We get to "play" with it solving problems and trying to keep the "unit" from tripping off line. Big pain in the arse when it does. But....learned some stuff and got remembered of some stuff I'd forgotten. So..wasn't a bad trip if ya' look at it that way.<br /><br />Going to kick back the rest of the day. Got up at 0530am to be at the simulator at 0700am so we could get an early start. <br /><br />Good to be back and to say hey! to everyone.

Welcome back OBJ.<br /><br />You could have called me and I would have came up and hauled the stuff from the freight store and stored it at my house for you. <br /><br />I'm not but about 45 mile or so from cross lanes.<br /><br />The fish are a bite'n at my 2 lakes here.<br /><br />Again, welcome back.

Dang Spinner, wished I'd knowed that. Took a couple poles an a tackle box with me but the Kanawha was a muddy mess. So I had to keep the beer from gettin' warm while my Bud's went golfing when they could. I'll be going back down sometime in April or May of next year. Have to look ya' up when I do.<br /><br />Dang! again.

OBJ,<br /><br />Does that mean when my power goes off, that its your fault or that your fixing it? <br /><br />Is that a fossil fuel plant that you work at? My brother-in-law works in the Control Room at the Gavin plant in Gallipolis. He gave me a tour there once and it was amazing on the process of which the electric is produced. I think he said it was 1500MW unit being the largest fossil fuel plant this side of the hemisphere. But that was in the late 70's.<br /><br />Glad your home safe.............SS
