Main fuel jet : 125 H.P. (1986 )Force 1258X6A

Two questions:

1. I'm in the middle of rebuilding the referenced carb and cannot locate the the main fuel jet -- which is Reference No. 40 in the attached drawing. When I look at the location identified in the attached drawing, I see no place for a jet (or any other component for that matter). Furthermore, the web page showing this drawings indicates that the main fuel jet is "obsolete." A part for a jet designed for higher altitudes appears to be available but I still can't figure out where it would go.

2. In the carb rebuild kit I received, there's a part that appears to be an inlet needle, essentially identical to inlet needle No. 19 referenced in the attached drawing, except it has a spring attached to it. I've removed all the components from the carb at this point and didnt come across such a part. Is it needed?

You might have the carbs that have the jet built into the carb bowl bolt. Take a look at it...if it has holes through the side that's your main fuel jet.
