Well this weekend is packed with work on the boat. I have to pull my lower unit, and adjust the shift rod length, splice some electrical wiring, organize previous owner's wiring nightmare, and make plans for replacing the transom. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

Btw....I'm be wishing I was on the water like the rest of you guys! Ya'll have a safe weekend!

Good Luck with it all. You are certainly in the right place if you need any help though.

So how much did you get done? I usually get too ambitious with my weekend to-do list and only get like 30% finished.

I got the lower unit off and adjusted the shift rod length. That solved my shift problem. I also spliced some electrical wires that showed some wear to them. I'm still having a couple of other electrical issues that I may wind up and take it over to Tashasdaddy's outboard shop. Overall I got some of the things I wanted done, but not all.

The weekend was more or less spent on a friend of ours wedding (wife matron of honor, I'm a groom's man, and daughter is jr bride's maid) bachelorette/bachelore party, and mother's day. This coming weekend is shot with the actual wedding. I will be next week before I can get some time back on the boat:(

Wow, you packed a lot into that weekend. I'm in the same boat (so to speak )... I have obligations, so the soonest I'll be able to get my boat in the water is Memorial weekend. Which here in Michigan is the Gateway To Summer-- the lakes will be packed full 'o boaters if the weather is any good. Was hoping for a nice quiet shakedown cruise with a little fishing before then.

Have a good time at the wedding! Too bad you didn't talk them into a wedding at sea, coulda still got on the water this weekend ;)

The sad part is that we've spent more on this wedding (Tux, 2 dresses, accesories, bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette party) than my wife and I did on our own wedding. That's money than could have been used to get my boat in tip top order!:(
