Re: Major Life Change

We are in contact with a realtor and know that Seattle prices are extremely high, we are looking at the ourskirts. Federal Way, Lynwood, Everett or so. Drive time isnt bad as I will be going before the traffic builds. I have been in Seattle 5 times in the last month checking things out and seeing what things are. Still looking. I will be in Seattle in 2 weeks and the Admiral will be there in 4 months. So we will have plenty of time to look and look some more. Does anyone have an insight as to Everett, Lynwood, Federal Way, Puyllup or something in that area? I am looking for personal expereince as to drive time, Quality of life, lack of HOA and such.

I live in Arlington. I drive to Everett every day. I know much about this region. Ask what you wish.

I lived in Lynwood and worked in Seattle (Pemco) it is not a good commute unless you take the bus. There is no quality of life on Interstate 5 if you intend to drive.
Interstate 5 is gridlock from 4am until 9am. If I were you I would look at West Seattle Discovery Park area.
Drive time from Everett to Ewing Street is about 1 and 1/2 hours.

A very good friend of mine that lived in and around the Seattle area for amost 30 years told me that it didnt matter where you were going. If you were only going to the QuikStop a block away you'd better plan on an hours drive.

Bullrider, suddenly I feel like taking my bike out to Washington for coffee. LOL

I must admit I did like the bike washes in FL while I was there though.

now I'm back here where most bike washes are held by girls wearing snowmobile suits. LOL

When it is not raining (rare) is one of the most beautiful cities. Believe the people that talk about the commute. Unless you live next door to work plan on an extreme commute. My wife grew up in Tacoma. Federal Way is the geto part of Tacoma. My did used to drive a Wonderbread truck in downtown Seattle. Everytime I talked to him he complained about it.
