I'm looking into boat canopies, and as expected are expensive to have installed. I saw this attached on sale for $80 at menards! Could I put over my boat slip (also attached)?

Awhile back We made one at my neighbors house for his slip outta pressure treated lumber and some corrugated roof panels but that's on his property that he owns the slip. I think it cost about a $1000 in material but it will last a long time.

Don't know about over a slip, but, I've got a similar one in my side yard to cover my boat. Makes it much easier to work on out of the hot sun. Issue might be how much wind it would be exposed to.

Got mine at Costco. Canopy lasts 5-6 years in the San Diego sun and replacement is about $65.

I have had a few of those in my yard for various projects. I have learned that it's a good idea to get rid of the shock cord connectors and use Velcro instead High winds will pull the cover off, but not destroy the frame.

My biggest concern would be wind...if that isn't an issue then I say go for it. I have a 15k lift and canopy system and have had the wind completely destroy the canopy the lift and the boat that was under it. Even on a marginally windy day, peoples expensive canopies are blowing enough that unless your menards solution was held down very good, could cause some issues. The amount of wind a canopy catches is amazing and that is with the high wind version that I have.
