This is my 1o year old sons first boat. Its 39 years old and I found it in pretty bad shape. I put an transom in it among other repairs a year ago back to original shape but now have to raise it, Pictures. This is two 1/2 inch plywood. Notice no "white spots"

This is what glass should look like. No white spots voids. What you see is low spots where I have not ground down the gelcoat. I have to grind all this down to add another layer to raise the transom 5"
