I am making seat backs on the transom and the bottom are easy to fasten but am not sure how to fasten the back pieces you lean up against I can not get to the back side to acces bolts or anything to fasten them. Have to fasten them blindly I amm thinking maybe high strength velcro. There is no back seats there right know to look at previous owner took them out years ago since he just fished with the boat. Is velcro strong enough to mount like 6" tall by 30" long piece to which will be my back rest.

Re: making seats how to fasten

Ive had, or more correctly my Father had, several boats that we redid the interior on and the rear seats were held on by a round tube and spring clip arrangement. The short piece of aluminum tube screws to the boat and the clip to the seat back. Seat back has an offset built into it to accommodate this clip. I have no idea of where to find them. Sorry! The clips look similar to the kind that hold the light pole when stowed away.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
