i mean physicly, not just metaphoricly typing. you know that damn coiled spring?on a re-coil starter yeah, man im there right now. i tried to wrap it around my hand and coil it as tight as i could and pull it more and then wrap it a couple more times so it fits back in the designated "hard to do" circle. the inside one of the curled rocket science ends stoped on my pinky and man, those things got some force. ha. so have you ever had the spring jump out on ya? and how did you get that thing back in there? ive tried a couple times but my left thumb is out of commition for a previously un-related incident. *sudden-conclution arrival: i think im going to stop reading the s.h.tricks board, as i read the wonderful btuve classic - hook in the hand surf fishing expidition, i couldnt help but laugh, so no shi* three days later i had to go to the hospital for a hook removal, turns out they push it all the way threw and cut the end off. then i read one about a guy and he cut himself bad -and some funny things were remarked aswell. a week later i cut threw a tendon with a knife that wouldnt close, that ended up closing a little too well. ha. or maybe i just had a bad week, but usually if anyone can pull off a slick move i tend to lean on the high side... so its hard to do with my thumb in pain, you know what i mean? what would you do? this sucks. you should do this for me, but ill settle for a little expirience, have a go at it...peace

Re: man.... my re-coil hurts

Sorry about all your troubles. But if you want to get the spring back in the housing, lay the housing on the bench, put the outer spring end over the pin that holds it, then wrap the spring in the housing one coil at a time. Kind of like coiling up a garden hose.
