I just replaced the motor in my 85 century it is a 5.7 with alph outdrive I needed new manifolds since the other ones had a external crack I could see. So I got a nice used set that will fit and I already did the acetone on them and they tested good. I also have two sets of risers one set from the crakced motor and another set the owner gave me from the previous locked up motor. One set wear the exhaust hooks to is like a tube inside of the outer cast were the water comes out the other set just has two holes up in the top were water shoots into the exhaust. I am not sure which set is better to use and how to check them to make sure either set is even any good.

Ayuh,..... Usually the risers go Bad at the gasket faces,....

If they're all, Ok, 'n they all fit to both ends, use whichever set ya want...

So as long as they look good at the gasket surface and don't look cracked anywere there then good to go. I am pretty sure both fit but will have to double check.
