my boat is an 87 with an omc 3.0 liter. i started it for the first time for the season. the manifold is hot to the touch while the riser is cool. i can only put my hand on the manifold for a couple seconds. the temp. gauge isn't working so i don't know what the engine temp. is, but i don't think it is overheating. how should i proceed, & am i looking at a new manifiold? also how can i troubleshoot te temp gauge? the pointer doesn't move at all, all conections ae tight. thanks
