Hi all
I am wondering what your opinion is between the Seloc Online.CD manual vs. the regular book manual? the Online version seems to be the better one with the exploded views option and the part number reference but I wanted some opinions from people who have used them...

tommays is correct
It's a real pain when your out working on the boat , and you got to run to the puter to find something out.(I got CRS so I end up having to copy too).
Get yourself a good factory manual. It's worth it in the long run.

If you go to the Mercruiser website below and click on "Order a Mercruiser Manual" you can get the OEM manual that will answer all your questions.

Mercruiser Web Site

Re: manual comparison ????

yeah I finally got a response from Mercruiser for my manual..the only thing I dont like about most factory manuals ( at least ones Ive had for my cars) is that they are more geared for their specific mechanics and often refer to their companies tools and have part numbers that are now outdated... Guess I could spend the money on both...
How are Mercruiser manuals? are they geared towards people like us or are they like the Old Nissan (Datsun) manuals like I had for my 240Z which where written specifically for Nissan mechanics????? Are the pics. and explanations easy to understand or will I be calling a local shop or posting here every other step? I am mechanically inclined but often get confused on the technical mumbo jumbo (the real heavy stuff)....
Some one should make video cd-roms that cover all the different repairs possible! that would be a money maker! there was a guy who shot a crappy video (poor qaulity anyways0 on tuning SU's for the old Z cars and sells them for like $20 or $40 and everyone one the forum who had SU's (it's the carbs on early Z cars) had a copy!

Thanks in advance for your input...
