anybody have any recommendations on how to resolve my seized tilt issue? I am contemplating remove the entire unit, but that seems quite painful to do. The cable is broken so I at the very least i'll have to replace that (75 bucks). basically the tilt assist wasnt functioning very well and yesterday i couldnt get the motor up at all. This morning i was able to lift the motor and then i went to attempt inspect the cable when it broke in two spots. The "shell" and the anchor point broke. In addition, i cant remove the old cable from the piston because my allen head broke off. Not even sure if that allen screw is required to remove cable.

anyways, im contemplating removing the entire unit but after that I'm not sure if there are any options to "clip" or pin the motor up when i do lift it up....

Advice appreciated!

also, has anybody drilled through this cylinder? It sure would be nice just to leave it in place, but drill it out so the motor moves freely up and down. To me that seem the easiest. i just need to relieve the cylinder pressure so i can use this boat. Yes i know, thats not the best method but $$ is an issue and so is time.

Thanks again iboaters!
