Re: manuals

I prefer the paper manual, but am working more and more with the CD.(As long as it is factory).I just like having it in the boat with me.But as I use the CD's I am finding I can print just the page or two I need, and this is convenient.

DHP

Re: manuals

Why buy it when it's free
You can just open and download every bit of it at the link I posted. Then put it on your own disc. FREE
It's the same manual as you would get on the disc that you have to pay for.

Re: manuals

You can't just save it by right clicking and choose save as, all you get doing it that way is the first 2 pages.
Here is what you do. Hopefully you have version 5.0 or newer of Adobe Acrobat reader.
Click the link and allow it to open. Some of the sections are big. Once it loads, choose save a copy and put it in a folder on your desktop.
Then click a link. The first one will be the red square around the name of the manual. You will come to the index. But, save the index first. Then move on to section 1A. Save it the same way then 1B and so on till they are all loaded and saved. Then, after all sections of the manual is downloaded into that file, just put it all on a CD.

Here is the link for Stephen Nixon for the older R, MR, and Alpha I drives. but it only goes back to 83. Earlier than than, and you are out of luck.
http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Servmanl/6/6covr3.pdf
