I wanted to post this message for everyone to read. I have been working on a 1962 Johnson Seahorse 18hp motor for about a week. I do not have the $$$$ to send this motor to a shop to get fixed, and it was given to me as a gift from my father. He bought it at a flea market for $200.00. I hooked it up and got it to run, but had several issues with cooling. I made several posts for information and had many replies. Through all of the information from postings I was able to correct the problems, ( bad impeller, and stuck thermostat ) and am going to take out the boat tonight. I owe many thanks to all who helped with this problem, and want to say that this is the best site on the internet for information.

Hey Dave glad to hear it's running like a champ! This forum has got to be the best, most well informed people I've come across. They offer their knowledge freely with no stings attached. OBJ, Tashasdaddy, Scaaty just to name a few and many more people here that are always willing to help.
