Hi folks...<br /><br />Any guestimates as to how much lube I should expect this baby to take, also with regard to the top vent or level plug as we call it here, where should the engine be trimmed when re-filling..<br /><br />Regard Keith B..

Keith,<br /><br /> You should have your motor at full vertical when filling. It should take a quart or less of 80w-90 high vicosity lower end lube.

Keith,<br /><br /> 1 quart = .9081 of a liter, or 1 liter = 1.081 of a quart. Hope this helps!

What you need to do is remove top vent and bottom fill/drain screw and plastic recessed washers and let it drain out over night. In the morning squeeze new oil into the bottom hole until it runs out of the top vent hole and the air bubbles stop. Replace top vent screw with NEW washer.Quickly add bottom fill/drain screw (The one with the magnet) and NEW plastic washer. I can only get about 1 pint in my 1980 50HP. But it is full.
