Hey everyone got into boating a few years back and got accustomed to using my trailer to bring the boat home for maintenance and mechanical problems. So now it's time to upgraded and the boat I'm in the process of purchasing and having shipped weighs 11 thousand pounds and was wondering how if anyone could explain the general stance marinas take on peoepe doing their own maintnace. Like Idealy It would be great to find a gravel lot with a means to drop a boat after I'm done with all my work. Oh and the boat was a repo so in intend to do a bellows job, wet sand the hull and repair any damaged to the gelcoat for anyone wondering how messy the job would be lol. Oh and I live in the metro Detroit area.

Thanks,
David

You'll need to call a few and see what their policy is.

I grew up in that area (many years ago). We would sneak into the marinas to fish off the docks; if the manager told us to leave we'd say our father was working on his boat and didn't want us pestering him.
