I'm going to replace my marine batteries next season. Any suggestions for a good quality brand and model? I prefer the sealed variety so that there is one less thing I need to check on a regular basis.

Re: marine battery replacements

Hey there,

I have 3 Optima batteries (Blue Top) that came with my boat (2006 Four Winns Vista 318) and they are very good batteries. They are sealed and can be mounted anyway you need as they do not leak. And they will last 2 or 3 times longer then conventional batteries.

Another vote for Optima. The battery that came in my boat (3 years old) is still Ok, but when it goes it will be replaced with an Optima. They are a little more expensive, but will last much longer.

Another vote for the blue Optima. Mine are 5 years old and still going strong.
