picked up an older Sea Ranger 2200 hand held marine band radio with a rechargable battery pac. Unit works very well but I would like to get a second battery pac backup. Any ideas where?? Also, anyone rebuild these older pacs??

Your local battery store (Battery Warehouse, etc.) can probably replace the internal batteries. For a second battery pack, you'll probably have to go to the manufacturer.

Watch how much you spend, if you shop sales, you can get a brand new, name brand handheld marine VHF for $70.00 or so.

Any chance you could run it off a 12V source (assuming your boat has one)? That might be a bit less expensive.
