Marine-Tex as Gel -Coat replacement?

Will the MARINE-TEX absorb water??? Does it have to be topcoated??? If not, does it discolor at all??? I am thinking of repairing some old age cracking in my topdeck gelcoat & its color is a close match. I have also used it to repair some below water blisters, and did not paint or top coat with anything. Thats OK, >>>RIGHT????<br />Thatnks for any advise!

It is specifally made for marine repairs and OK for below the waterline. It will NOT absorb water.<br /><br />You can top coat it, if you want, it is not necessary.<br /><br />It should hold its color.

It will even cure under water. Fabulous stuff.
