Mariner 115 too cool &too much pressure?

I've got a 1996 Mariner 115. The motor is running too cold. Ambient room air or slightly cooler. I also have too much water pressure. 18-19psi @ WOT and 10-12psi at idle.

Any ideas?

Your popit valve diaphram and thermostat need to be replaced

thermastat has been replaced and the popit valve has been checked.

Are the guages working right?
Did ya check the temp. at the themostat housing?
High water psi is popit valve problems or not installed right.
