Mariner 15 gear selector

I have a Mariner 15 and no service manual. The tiller gear selector is very stiff, it almost requires 2 hands to shift. What are the lubrications points and what kind of lubricant is recomended. This engine is low time but lots of storage. Thanks for any response.<br />****

Boy, that Mariner 15 has changed alot over the years ,from a Merc Yamaha co op ,to a Merc with a gray paint job.Which do you have?

If the tiller handle is hard to move it is probebly binding somewhere. Have a look for that first before you start throwing grease at it.<br /><br />TMD
