Mariner 15 hp ????

Hi there, I have a Mariner 15 hp, serial number: Oc113818 is there anyway too know what year this mariner is? the Motor has 120 psi on top cylinder and 40 psi on Bottom cylider:'( , I need to buy the repair manual before I do anything to it. I will really appricited any help

Are you sure it's 0c and not 0g? could only find this range 15 0G112540 - 0G286099 1995 , maybe someone else will have better luck

I found on the Mercury website Model number: 7015201PD, But there is no information on the Year. I need to buy the Repair manual, any recommendation on Repairs Manuals? Witch one is better in Details? I always use Clymer, but I will appreciated any advice, also is it worth it to fix it?

I dont belive it will realy matter what year it is. Remove flywheel and undo electrical componets that are housed underneath. Do not disconnect wireing as it is unnessassery.Dissconect shift shaft at front of engine. Remove the skirt around the engine the remove the six power head bolts.(PRETTY SURE ONLY 6 NOT 8 BY MEMORY) Place engine on bench and remove carburettors, remove reed block and split engine housing. Inspect cylinder condition. More likely than not you will find the croming has been removed from the cylinder wall. If this is the case see a merc rep and ask for a presicion rebuid price as costing is normaly good and it also comes with a factory 12mth warrantee on parts and labour. If chroming is ok then price rings and a gasket set. Repair will be cheaper if you do it yourself.

I got the piston out, the cylinders wall are very smooth, no a single scratch in it, I have pictures of the piston, to me the piston looks ok, but what do you guys think, should I buy just the ring? Or the piston with the ring?
I will appreciate any inputs.
