MARINER 150 EFI WON'T START

Hello all!<br /><br />got a little problem....ok for me a big problem. I have a 98 Mariner 150 EFI that won't start. <br /><br />I have good buzzer when turning the key....good crank at the starter then beep..beep....beep. Which could be normal. <br /><br />I've checked the spark on the plug with the ole phillips screwdriver and plug and all has fire but didn't replace plugs. <br /><br />Draining the fuel to see if that could be the problem. <br /><br />Any suggestions to help me out on my problems? <br /><br />Oh by the way, the battery was dead and I charged it up. Could the spark not be enough or still the plugs and not the wires?<br /><br />Help please! <br /><br /> jcarroll01@charter.net

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />Have somebody turn the key and listen for the electric fuel pump to work as well as the clickety-click of the injectors. The spark is produced independently from the injection system, but it is used to trigger the timing of the injectors. A low battery won't cause low spark (unless the motor is turning over very slowly), but it could cause the fuel pump not to run or the injectors not to fire.
