Mariner 20 hp

Can anyone tell me what year mariner engine I have. The ownly numbers I see on the metal tag is, 653 S 11650 . I don't know what the number mean. I'm try to get a water pump for the engine. Are there any other number on the engine that will tell me what year. Please help .
