mariner 28 fuel ratio/tune up

i just got a mariner 28 and i was wondering what the fuel to oil ratio should be? also any other things i can do to tune it up and get it running right been sitting for 2 years

Fuel ratio is 50:1, replace the impeller,fuel pump diaphram and rebuild carbs. This is the Yamaha import engine...

i took the fuel pump apart and it didn't look to bad....won't start every now and then it will give a sound like it going to start, but i think it is the carb cleaner i sprayed in it, any suggestions? and where is the impeller

I highly recommend you get an oem factory manual for your motor, that will give you all the info you need. Also dont spray any thing into the carb but oil fuel mixed. Very bad to spray carb cleaner or starting fluid in there, could cause oil to wash of the cylinder walls and cause premature wear/
