hi ive just bought a 17 ft wilson flyer to restore as a project with my son i can remember the boat from brand new what i would like to do is restore also the mariner engine from roughly around the same era as the boat late 80's the wiring doesnt make much sense to me as its not the normal colour coded however it must have run as i saw it working before transported to mine from its berthing it was wired to an old panel which had 2 toggle switches,a key and a push strart,
the toggle switches were for navigation lights and mast lights
theres no tilt, tacometer, oil guages etc just basic and was wondering if its worth while recycling or not so just need to know the basic wiring to the starter to see if it will fire up and work the rest out from there
where i live there is no marine electrician or outboard mechanic not that im aware of or even relatively close and as i say just a project for me and my son to work on as a first restoration
the loom from the boat cp is different coloured to that whats on the engine the outboard was removed just for transportation and i didnt remove it as i would of number the loom
id be very greatfull if someone would know the correct wiring i could use just to see if it will fire up
many thanks in advance
