I am working on a '95 40hp Mariner ser#06048527.<br /> Just started a get a very low volume beep-beep-beep from the warning horn. I have checked the system and the horn works at normal tone when shorted, & when key is turned on. The tach has also started to act up at the same time. Will run up to 4K then start to decline even tho engine is still accelerating. I am reading about 13.3 volts at battery when engine above 2K rpm. I am thinking that the Regulator / rectifier is bad.
