Does anyone know what can be the problem with my 6-year-old 40hp 2 stroke mariner outboard? After some (few) minutes, the warning sound from the QuickSilver control commands starts screaming and the engine lowers the rotations and shakes very much! If I turn it off and start it again it will continues for a couple of minutes, until it starts all over again. This happened two years ago and, as it appeared, it ended suddenly . The weather keeps running from the cooling system, oil level is full, red light in the engine is off, and nothing is obstructing the water in holes. If I keep it on very low rotations, it woks just fine but when I speed up a little…
Could it be some thing with the valvoline levels in the columm?
artur.filipe@clix.pt
