Mariner 40HP

I have a 40HP Mariner motor. I do not know the year of the motor--serial # L 405299 located on tag attached to motor and 6E9 is on the block. I am trying to locate a solenoid switch for this motor but am having no luck. The solenoid switch has a number on it that is A104-101 stamped hitachi. Can you help me with these issues?

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />I'm afraid I can't help with the part number, but any dealer that can sell you the part will be able to help you with that. That motor was made by Yamaha, so you can get that part from a Mercury or Yamaha dealer. They'll probably have to order it.
