It's a 1988 and just purrs like a tomcat in a creamery. I just had the coil replaced and when I got it back from the marina (2 hours away) - they forgot to reattach the shutoff wires. There are two shut off switches - a red button at the end of the throttle and a red toggle to the left of the choke. Neither work. I took the cover off and traced the wires out of each spot and found the ends unattached. They have a donut-shaped/ring connector at the end of each wire - like a screw goes through it. I called the marina and they simply said, "bring it back". I'm not driving another 4 hours when I can fix it myself - I just need to know WHERE they attach and the marina wouldn't tell me.

Mike,Just guessing here. There should be 2 wires from the coils they may have attached them where they belong.Your wires probably attach at the same point or an adjacent screw.<br /> Good luck.

I sorta figured that since both wires end at the same area just below the coil - but I see no unattached wires coming from the new coil. I guess I'll just attach 'em to the block with a screw holding the coil housing and see if that works. Thanx.
