Hi guys pls help.
I have a 4hp Mariner (I think its a Yanaha powerhead),serial starts with 6EO.Bought s/h been in storage for 1yr. Origionally it would not idle without choke. I have stripped carbs and found blocked jets which I have cleaned and reassembled. It now idles and runs fine but at full throttle under load it dies and will cut out,it will restart ok and idle or go to 1/2 throttle any more and it will cough and cut out again.
Any u guys got any ideas?

Did you set the float levels when you cleaned the carbs?Could be too low causing fuel starvation at high RPM.Also check filters/pump etc sounds like you arent getting fuel.Did you clean the fuel system at the time you cleaned the carbs? If you didnt you might have got more crud in the carbs...Good luck
