Mariner Motor What Year?

Just purchased a mariner motor 60 hp for $75.00
Serial # is 675 L 304587
Is electric start with tilt/trim
The motor says made in Japan
What do you guys think
Have not put a battery to it but i can turn it at the fly wheel

Built in 1979

Those early Mariner outboards were built by Yamaha until later on down the road,Mercury started building them.

It a really good engine but is real picky about idling, it shakes a lot!!

Is the shaking common in these motors?
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Forgot to mention it also has what appears to be factory tilt
