Mariner Serial # oc149140

I have a mariner 19899I think) 2.5L 150 Mariner. This number appears on the swivel, Is it the engine # and can I find out the year of manafacture.Its gray with A gray sticker(mariner in white letters and 2.5 in red letters) with a thin red line on top and a thin(but thicker than on top) red line on the bottom. Oh and what prop should I be running and whats the correct fuel/oil mixture. Right now Im runnin a 50:1 ratio.<br /><br />Thanks, Rick

Judging by your other posts (Sputters at top end)"53 mph @ 5800 rpm", I'd say to have the correct prop.. <br /><br /> 50:1 is the correct mix..<br /><br />As for the serial number, it should be on a sticker on the swivel bracket or stamped on a welch plug (small freeze plug lookin deal) on the powerhead..
