I owned a Marquis boat of near the same vintage. If my memory serves me right, the Manufacturer was called Fiberskiff, located in South Carolina. They made the Marquis brand fom the mid 70's until the early 80's (runabouts and cuddy cabins, I think the largest they made was a 24'). They changed the name of the boats they made from Marquis to Citation in the early 80's. I think they stayed in business unitl the late 80's. I had a 17' Marquis with a 140hp Mercruiser, really nice entry level boat. After my first season of ownership, the hull had blistered really bad (the boat was stored in the water), Fiberskiff replaced the hull, the new hull's graphics had the name as Citation vs Marquis, but they were identical. Try searching for Citation vs Marquis and you will get more results, but use caution, there were a lot of "citation" models from different manufacturers.
