Matching Correct Lower Unit

Looks like we have a problem solved from a previous post. Now I need to match a replacement lower unit. I have located a used 50 HP Merc at a local yard want to see it it will match up to my 40 hp Merc.

Would anyone have specific knowledge

My motor 40 HP Merc Ser# 5750620

Donor Motor 50 HP Merc Ser#6223399 Looks to be in better shape than mine

Measurement on the outside look the same

I just checked the parts listings for those engines, and they both call out the same gearcase housing...
