Hi. My 1974 mercruiser 140 has a broken trim limit switch on the gimble. Apparently this part is NLA.<br />I've been trimming by using the tilt switch. This works fine for me but others using the boat have been trimming up to high.<br />What is the maximum safe trim angle for the drive unit?<br />I'm thinking of rigging up some kind of exterior trim limit switch and need to know where to set maximum trim.
