hi, i have 89' Maxum(18ft) w/ 3.0 mercruiser which i bought last summer. I bought it right on the spot first time i saw it because i got it really cheap. The thing is i've heard from several people that these hulls have many flaws and have problems like floors collapsing and such, and after time are just junk. Is this true or do people carried away? Should i get rid of this boat while i still can? Again, the hull is 16 yrs old, and prob spent that time outside in the weather. Its seems fine to me, but i'm new to boats and not an expert. I would appreciate any info on these boats. thanks <br />-Jamie

Re: Maxum hulls ?

That sounds like a load to me. Maxum is made by bayliner. They make thousands of boats. I'm sure they have a solid manufacturing process.
