MC1 and 260 parts info

Hey guys, rather new to the ib/ob stuff.

1979 Reinell
Engine serial number 027449
Stern Drive serial number 5283182
Transom Assembly serial number 5200078

Getting it ready for my mechanic to get ready for the water.

Sterndrive bellows kits- bellows, hoses, gaskets, and gimbal bearing kit? I was told this is an MC1 drive.

Then I need a waterpump impellar.

My guy isn't a mercruiser dealer, so he said to go ahead and find parts for him to put in.

Not sure where or how to look this stuff up.

here's a place that can help ya look up some oem numbers. http://mercruiserparts.com/ if ya wanna use aftermarket parts. look up the oem number, then come to a place like iboats and look up the aftermarket parts and see if they are a replacement for the oem number.
