Hi all, I have a Mac 7.5 hp I got as a 'throw in' on a boat I bought last summer. Well it's been sitting in the corner of the garage since. Im just wondering if it is even worth tinkering with. It has good spark, what seems like great compression, everything else such as fuel lines plug wires ect. need some attention. Heck for all I know the thing runs, however I dont have a fuel tank or hose. Would it be very hard to find the fitting for the fuel line on the motor end? Any imput would be great. It is an electric start and the plate has the #80355. Thanks Dean

Motor is a 66, Fuel mix is 40:1. 7.5hp at 4,500,Champion H10J plugs set at .035,points set at .020.Impeller may be available right here 18-3009.points 18-5153,Motor is a collectable ok runner but parts are scarce as hens teeth. If it has been run without a battery the rectifier, fuse and or armature may be damaged.Try the Scott guys site. for info etc.

Re: McCulloch 7.5

I had a 7.5 and I just put a fuel hose on with a hose clamp and hooked it up to my tank. Mine was a runner and yes the Scott guy can help alot and I could also get parts from him that no one else had. Be ready to pay for them though. But that's part of owning a boat and motor.
