MD32A Fuel Injection Timing

Hello Folks.
I have an old Storebro Motorboat that is fitted with two Volvo Penta MD32A engines.I am in th eprocess of replaceing the injection pump on one of the engines.I have the workshop manual so i didnt think i would have a problem re-fitting the pump,But it is not so clear as i hoped it would be.can anybody heer tell me the correct way to set the pump injection? Is it done on the 6th cylinder? basically ive jumped the gun and ended up in trouble.

Well, since it's a 4 cylinder engine, I would have to say no.

Do you have the old pump off already? Do you have the special tools to set the timing? Not just the dial indicator, but the tool with the pin to go into the flywheel as well?

Also, what is the number on the service manual that you have?

Disregard the above info. I was looking at the newer 32 series engines. They are 4 cylinders, not 6 like your mid 70's version MD32.
