Mechanic not showing ...need to change gear oil on XDP drive

My mechanic bailed out on me and everyone else at my boat yard and I can't find anyone else in time for memorial weekend. I need to change my gear oil on my P.O.S. XDP drives. I already took the props off and drained the old oil now what??? I have been doing some reading and I think I have to connect a pump to the drain plug and pump the oil up until I see it come out. I don't know where I am supposed to see it come out from. Can anyone walk me through this please. Thanks
